 海口市机关幼儿园创办于一九六0年，位于海口市龙华二横路3号，是经海口市编制委员会批准成立的全日制的市委、市政府直属机关幼儿园。一九八五年被海口市教育局评定为海口市一类幼儿园，一九九四年一月被省教育厅评定为海南省一级幼儿园，一九九七年一月评定为海南省示范幼儿园，一九九八年三月评定为优秀省一级幼儿园，2002年12月被国家教育部指定为贯彻《幼儿园教育指导纲要（试行）》国家级试点园（全国有15家）。
坚持“面向世界、面向未来、面向现代化”的教育方针，争创一流的管理水平、一流的教育质量、一流的师资队伍、一流的环境设施。全园占地面积5754.24平方米，建筑面积9500平方米，分别有五层和三层的教学楼两幢，还有一幢八层的综合性配备楼和五层的职工宿舍楼，园舍布局合理、场地宽敞、设备先进，幼儿生活、保健、教育教学设施配套完善，园里配有管理电脑9台，教师教学备课电脑16台，幼儿学习电脑20台以及向家长开放的电脑触摸屏一套，多媒体彩色实物投影机2台，每班配有教学用的钢琴、电视机、录音机、投影机、投影幕及生活用的消毒柜、矿泉水机、洗衣机等，并在市防疫站的指导下，严格按照饮食卫生标准化、规范化的要求，全面规划厨房设施，配备一流的厨房硬件。园内环境绿树成荫、花草葱郁、绮丽幽雅、童趣盎然，富有现代化特色，是幼儿生活和学习的美好乐园。
园师资队伍素质高。现有管理人员5人，专业幼师毕业的教师48人，保健医生、护士3人，计算机管理人员1人，职工17人，在管理和专业技术人员中：园长有3人，均有学前教育大专毕业文凭，有幼儿园高级教师职称并领取园长上岗证书；教师中本科学历的有2人，占4%，大专学历的有29人，占58%，中专学历的有19人，占38%；在教师中幼儿园高级教师25人，占50%。保健人员有3名：有医科大学专科毕业有39年医龄的主治医师1人，分别有中专毕业的医师和主管护师各1名，保育员均参加函授获中专毕业文凭和考取《幼儿园专业合格证书》。在省幼教系统中首家建立了校园网络，管理人员、教师及保健医生都考取了计算机应用初级合格证书，实现了无纸办公和无纸备课，95%的教师都能应用计算机进行CAI教学课件制作。
多年来，特别是在海南建省后，在市委市政府的重视和关怀下，在社会各界及有关部门的大力支持和帮助下，该园无论是在硬件建设还是在抓管理和教育教学方面都有了突飞猛进的发展，认真贯彻党的教育方针、《幼儿园工作规程》和《幼儿园管理条例》，实施《幼儿园教育指导纲要》（试行），以现代化教育理论为基础，立足于全心全意为孩子服务的宗旨，着眼于二十一世纪的人才培养，全面推进幼教特色的素质教育，坚持“以德立园，依法治园，科研兴园，质量强园”的原则，以创新的精神创设现代化教育特色的幼儿园，幼儿园的保教工作呈现出生机勃勃的发展势头。在硬件建设方面，九四—九六年发生了天翻地覆的变化，九三年该园综合性教学楼（五层）被市政府定为“为民办十五件实事”之一，九四年落成竣工，紧接着园里争取资金九六年底又落成了厨房配备楼（八层），两幢大楼的落成使该园的幼儿活动室和各种功能室配套齐全，使各配套设施尽量地发挥作用为教育教学服务。近年来，该园连续被评为省、市的“幼教先进单位”，“民主管理先进单位”，“海口市十佳职业道德建设先进集体”，“精神文明建设先进单位”等。党、团、工会组织多次被评为海口市“先进基层组织”，教师组获团市委颁发的市级“青年文明号”。担负着中央教育科学研究所《幼儿素质教育综合课程研究》、《学前创造教育课程及其理论构建》《尝试教学理论研究与实践》等国家级的研究课题，被省教科所定为省计算机幼教实验基地。
Haikou municipal kindergarten which was set up in 1960, locates in No.3,Row1 Haikou Longhua Road. It’s a full time kindergarten which attaches to the government was authorized to set up by the Workout Committee, evaluated for a kind of kindergarten in Haikou by the bureau of education of Haikou in 1985, January of 1994 was evaluated for the first class kindergarten of Hainan Province by the education department in the province, evaluated it for the demonstration kindergarten of Hainan Province in January of 1997, evaluated for the outstanding first class kindergarten of province in March of 1998. Insist on the education policy “Face to the world, face to the future, face to the modernize” , we do our best to get the first-class management level and quality of education, first-class teachers' team and environmental facility. The whole kindergarten covers an area of 5754.24 square meters, with a construction area of 9500 square meters, we have two teaching buildings (one is five floors, the other is two floors), one multiple building which has eight floors and five floors staff and workers flat. It is rationally distributed, spacious in the place that the garden is given up, the equipment is advanced, infant's life, health care, educational teaching facility are comprehensive. Altogether 35 computers here, 9 for administration, 16 for teachers’ lesson planning, 20 for the kids’ learning, we have a touchable screen computer for the parents of our kids and 2 sets of color projecting apparatus. Each classroom is furnished with the piano, television, recorder, projector, projection curtain, VCD machine used for teaching and washing machine ,etc. With the guide of Haikou epidemic prevention station, we rigorously enforce the standardized, standardized request according to dietetic hygiene, We have kitchen facilities of comprehensive planning and allocate the first-class kitchen hardware.
There are 5 administrative personnel who have got the diploma of preschool educational major, the senior title of professional posts and the headmaster certification .48 teachers are graduated from preschool education’s college. 3 health care personnel: medical university training graduate attending doctor 1 people of age such as medicine for 39 years, have doctor that special secondary school graduate and in charge of nurse each 1 separately. All the child-care workers have got the technical secondary school diploma and the kindergarten’s certificate of soundness. There are 2 people in undergraduate course academic credentials of the Mr., accounts for 4%, there are 29 people in the academic credentials of junior college, accounting for 58%, there are 19 people in the academic credentials of special secondary school , accounts for 38%, 25 , senior teacher of kindergarten, accounts for 50% among the teachers .we are the first to celebrate the campus network among all the kindergartens in Hainan, all the staff and workers here have got the Junior Computer Certificate of Quality, we work and plan lessons all by computer, and 95% of us use computer to make CAI teaching courseware.
